FAQs

FAQs

  • What is Artia and what does it offer?
Artia is an online art learning platform for 6- to 14-year-old children.
  • Are the classes live or pre-recorded?
All our classes are online and live by teachers. For course classes, the batch size has been kept small with a maximum of 5 children. This is done to ensure that teachers pay individual attention to each child and encourage them to express their thinking and compositions.
  • What is your curriculum and how is it designed?
Our curriculum has been exclusively designed by an Advisory Board comprising of highly experienced professionals drawn from both academics and industry. It follows the guidelines of CBSE on Art Integrated Learning as well as principles of National Curriculum Framework. The Board’s expertise in art, its application and its pedagogy has ensured that our curriculum is age appropriate, provides progressive learning and gives ample opportunities to children to enhance and express their creative potential.
  • Who are the teachers and what are their qualifications?
All our teachers are highly qualified Art academic professionals. They are equipped with a Graduate or Master’s degree in Art across a variety of specializations. Our teachers have extensive experience of teaching children of this age band in schools, both in online and offline media. Each teacher has been rigorously trained in the curriculum and pedagogy methods of the company.
  • Who takes the free trial class and what do you cover in it?
The free trial class will be taken by one of our teaching faculty. The teacher will try to develop an understanding of where your child currently is in the Art learning journey and take you through a summary of our curriculum and courses. The teacher is equipped to answer all your questions.
  • Is there any material required for the trial class?
A drawing book, pencil, colour pencils and eraser. It would be good if you also have your child’s current artbook handy for the teacher to see the work your child has been doing (optional).
  • How many classes are there in a week and what is the duration of each class?
All our courses have two classes per week. You can choose from one of the three combinations: Monday-Thursday, Tuesday-Friday, or Wednesday-Saturday. Each course class is for 60mins. Our representative will guide you in choosing your preferred days of the week and time slot.
  • How many students will be there in a course class?
For course classes, the batch size has been kept small with a maximum of 5 children. This is done to ensure that teachers pay individual attention to each child and encourage them to express their thinking and compositions.
  • What is the Art Kit required for each course and from where do I buy it?
The art and craft material for any of our courses is easily available at stationery shops and online. We will mail you the requirements when you buy a course.
  • Will class slots remain the same for the entire duration of the course?
Yes, we will keep your class slots the same for the duration of the course that you purchase. Only in exceptional circumstances, if a change is required, we will get in touch with you.
  • Will the teacher remain the same for the entire duration of the course?
We take a lot of effort in ensuring that the same teacher continues the learning throughout the duration of the course that you purchase. However, in case when a teacher is on leave, a substitute teacher will take the classes. If even a substitute teacher is not available in rare situations, then we will cancel and reschedule the class.
  • What if my child misses a class due to unavailability or internet/technical issue at my end?
If your child is absent from a class, we will provide you with a recording of the missed class. If all children in a batch are absent, no recording is provided.
  • What if a class is cancelled from your end?
We will reschedule that class. The number of classes and their sequence will remain the same for you.
  • What if I need to change my day-time slots mid-way through the course?
We will try to find a different batch for your child and inform you if it is possible to change. Please note that you can exercise this option only once in the duration of your course.
  • What if I want to discontinue the course mid-way?
We will refund your balance on a pro-rata basis subject to a minimum amount deducted. No refund is applicable for monthly payment plans.
